All bags and kits are funded by Friends of the Longmont Library.

Visit a State Park for FREE

There are more than 40 State Parks in Colorado with over 4,000 campsites and an additional 58 cabins and yurts. 5 of them are relatively close to us in Boulder County.

Each Visit a State Park Backpack comes with:

  • State Park Pass hangtag (to hang on your rearview mirror)
  • Wildlife Viewing Guide Book
  • Multiple Brochures included:
    – Colorado Wildlife
    – Trees & Wildflowers
    – Guide to 41 State Parks
    – Star Charts
    – COTREX: Trails App
    – And more!

How to:

  • Backpack Kits are considered Lucky Day items (cannot be put on hold)
  • Must have a Longmont Library card
  • Check out for 1 week periods
  • No renewals allowed
  • Visit as many Colorado state parks as you like during the one week time period
  • Lost Backpack replacement cost is $80
