Volunteer Opportunities
A Woman’s Work
Emergency Family Assistance Association
“Join our team of more than 600 compassionate and dedicated volunteers who help us make our community better. Volunteers are truly the heart of our organization and when you volunteer with EFAA, you change lives in your community — even your own.
There are many ways to volunteer with EFAA. Volunteers help run operations in our food bank, welcome visitors in our lobby, serve on our Board of Directors and so much more.”
Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley
“Volunteerism is the foundation of Habitat’s Mission.
The average Habitat home requires over 2,500 hours of volunteer labor.
People from all walks of life work alongside one another to improve the lives of others. Through this generous cooperation, families are strengthened, children have stability, neighborhoods are improved and our community is united.”
Humane Society of Boulder Valley
“Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley! Our volunteers are a major source of support for our programs and we’re so excited to have you join the team.
Currently, we offer a single volunteer role as an entry point to volunteering with the organization. Our Animal Care Team (ACT) is crucial to the day-to-day success of the organization and is an easy way to get started volunteering with us right away!”
Longmont Humane Society
“Animal lovers wanted—no experience necessary! Whether you prefer to work with pets or with people, we need your passion and unique talents.
Longmont Humane Society could not provide outstanding services and quality of life to the thousands of animals that we care for each year without the dedicated support of our volunteer community. Volunteers offer assistance in nearly all areas of our organization. We are very excited to have you join our team to support the staff and to provide enrichment for the animals that are in our care before they find their forever home.”
Longmont Meals on Wheels
“We are a volunteer-centric organization. Volunteers help in the kitchen, delivery meals, serve on the board, help with special projects and help during events. We are able to serve older people and people with disabilities because of community and volunteer support!
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our program, providing the warm, human touch that means so much to a homebound individual. We are always looking for additional volunteers.”
Mountain States Children’s Home
“If you can give of your time and talents, we have both ministry and volunteer opportunities. There are over 300 volunteers that contribute their time and talent to this unique and special work. There are many opportunities to help around the MSCH campus or at the Mountain States Children’s Home Thrift Store.”
Some of our volunteer needs include:
-
- Working in our food room – organizing, placing items on shelves, labeling items with expiration dates, removing expired items
- Assisting with mailings – stuffing envelopes, preparing items to mail
- Helping with events – Gala & Benefit Auction, Sporting Clay Tournament, set up, clean up, registration
- Maintenance – lawn or house maintenance
- Let us know if you have any other ideas!
Our Center
“The Volunteer Team is Essential to OUR Center Operations. Each week OUR Center utilizes at least 300 volunteers. We couldn’t do it without them. Ready to volunteer? OUR Center is accepting new applications!
We are grateful for everyone who lends a helping hand.”
