With over 326,000 Boulder County residents, BoCo Daily’s reach also extends to include Larimer, and Weld counties and beyond. Combined, this region saw visitors spend $2.5 billion in 2023.
Paid placement display ad campaigns offer a excellent way to reach this market without needing to promote an event. We provide opportunities to sponsor specific event categories for more targeted campaigns, as well as sitewide sponsorships that appear on all site pages and event posts. There are also exclusivity opportunities where an advertiser can ‘own’ placement and be the only advertiser for that particular position.
Sitewide Sponsorship
Sitewide Sponsorships are paid placement opportunities that appear across the site and offer maximum visibility. Two of these paid placement positions are EXCLUSIVE, meaning only one Advertiser will appear in these locations, effectively ‘owning’ the position. These exclusive opportunities are the Mega Banner and the Event Banner. The Mega Banner appears on all site pages below the primary navigation bar and above page content. The Event Banner appears below every event post. Paid placement opportunities also exist in the Sidebars, but are not exclusive. Sidebars appear on all site pages.
Category Sponsorship
Category Sponsorships provide an opportunty to target a more specific audience that aligns with your business. There are two types of Category Sponsorships: Category Page Banner (EXCLUSIVE) and Sidebar Display Ads. The Category Page Banner is an exclusive opportunity (only one Advertiser for this position) and is located below the hero section of a given category’s landing page. Sidebar category sponsorships are another way to sponsor a category but are not exclusive and are offered on a first-come-first-served basis with a maximum of five (5) total ads per sidebar. For a given category, sidebars appear on its landing page and on all event posts where the event owner has listed that particular category as the Primary Category. Additionally, Advertisers are limited to three (3) categories that may be sponsored.
Daily Observance Sponsorship
Every day, BoCo Daily highlights the day’s Daily Observances, such as National Cheeseburger Day, in the Homepage Hero section, making it the most visible and shared post on the site. In the hero image, the Daily Observances post features two major observances, a sneak peek at the next day’s observances, and a Call-to-Action section to celebrate the day. This sponsorship opportunity is exclusive to a given observance and features the Advertiser’s logo on the hero image in the CTA section, as well as a Details section on the Daily Observance post itself. The post features the full list of the day’s observances, a sneak peek at the next day’s observances, and a Sponsor’s Details section, which includes the Advertiser’s name, description and/or offer, and a link or button.
Newsletter
BoCo Daily distributes a weekly email newsletter, BoCo Daily This Week, that highlights the week’s upcoming events and other areas of interest to subscribers, such as recipes, trivia, national daily observances, and discount or special offers. Advertising opportunities include paid placement and event promotion.
- Paid Placement
Paid placement options include the Newsletter Masthead (EXCLUSIVE) and Newsletter Body Banners. The Newsletter Masthead position is located above the newsletter logo, making it the most prominent element of the newsletter. It is also exclusive, as only one opportunity is available. Advertisers may also take advantage of the Newsletter Body Banner which displays between sections of newsletter content.
- Event Promotion
Regarding Event Promotion opportunities, there are two that are available: Event of the Week post (EXCLUSIVE) and an Event Listing. The Event of the Week post is a featured event section immediately following the newsletter masthead and occupies the ‘hero’ region of the newsletter. This section is exclusive, only one per newsletter issue, and features the event’s title, description, and details, as well as a featured image. The Event of the Week will link to the event’s page on BoCoDaily.com. The Event Listing opportunity is included in the ‘This Week’s Event Highlights’ section and includes event name, date, time, and location/venue.
